Default Transmission Temperature Gauge

I recently installed an electrical Autometer transmission temperature gauge. What temperature should I expect? The highest reading I got was 125* and it took about 15 mins. of normal driving to get there. Is this normal?? BTW, I have a factory transmission cooler.

Based on the temps in Charleston, right now, it should at least go up to 150* sitting in traffic. 125* sounds about right if you're highway driving. When its colder you'll be lucky to see it get to 125*. The summer months, it should run right up about 180*

I had a whole entire different gauge cluster sent to me from US Speedos.
My 2005 VHO's original gauge cluster didn't come with the tans temp gauge at the lower left corner of the cluster. US Speedos sent me an O.E. gauge cluster with the o.e. trans temp. Of course it's not factory looking.
I've only had it in for two days now. I'm seeing temps around 105-115*F
The summer months will pick that up though.

OK, I appreciate the responses. I thought 125* was too low. For some reason, I always thought the engine and transmission operate at approximately the same operating temperature.
