Transmission Kit Question
#1
So I recently acquired a rebuilt 4l60e with 3k on it from a wrecked truck, reliable source for the information and price was great. Mine is still working 6 months after installing an LQ9, but I can tell its having a hard time, plus its got 180k on it already.
So I've got this newer one sitting in my garage, I planned on getting a 3200 Circle D, servo, and a shift kit. I've been reading up and was first going to get a TransGo HD2, but people have been saying it just slams into gear too hard. Another article advised for a B&M Level 1 kit and a servo, that its firm but doesn't slam together. I want a strong enough tranny to hold a N/A LQ9, shift firmly but not destroy my passengers necks. I was hoping I could get some insight. This is for the truck in my sig.

Never seen anybody mention a B&M kit on this forum, doubt you'll get any feedback there. Almost everybody runs a combo of a corvette 1-2 apply servo with the Transgo HD2 or is running a built tranny from one of the vendors.
Sonnax also has a kit called the Performance pack that a few people have used.
There are a million threads about the HD2 floating around, try using the search feature or google. There is also a detailed install video for it on youtube. The kit is customizable depending on what size you drill out some of the metering orifices.
Alot of people report that it is pretty mellow if you use the smallest size holes recommended and keep your stock line pressure in your tune.
