Default transgo shift kit on 05 silverado 1500

so I got a question that might have been asked before, but maybe its specific to me. I have a 05 Silverado 1500 4x4 vin b engine, has the corvette servo and nelson tuned pcm. I heard the transgo 4l60e-hd2 shift kit is a good idea to help extend trans life. is this true? also heard with my corvette servo it will shift to hard and the servo should go back to stock one, is this true? is the shift kit better than just the servo alone? or is servo alone better that just the shift kit?

also if I did get the shift kit, the directions that transgo has states that:
"7-CS" (Clutch Spring Kit) Requires transmission removal for Installation if revving over 5500 RPM

"4L60E-BOOST" (.500 Boost Valve) After March 2005 an Input Speed Sensor was added
which requires transmission removal for installation. Previous to March 2005 does not require
transmission removal.

does that mean that I would need to drop my trans in my 05 Silverado to do the full install?

thanks,
nick

also this has probably been asked a million times to, but should my trans hold up fine to the nelson tune? I don race the truck but I don't drive it like a grandpa either. got 120k on the truck.. just want to make sure the trans holds up for a little longer atleast lol I plan on the shift kit if you guys say its a good idea, and I will be ordering the tru-cool 40k cooler for it to keep the temps down- Oregon Performance Transmission - Rebuild Parts for 700R4 4L60E 4L80E E4OD 4R100 47RE 48RE & More TRU-COOL MAX 40,000 GVW Automatic Transmission Fluid Oil Cooler & Thermal Bypass 40K True Cool Long

I just did the Transgo shift kit, vette servo, pinless accumulators and Sonnax 77701-076 kit. Boost valve went in without removing the trans.Drilled the seperator plate to the smaller holes. And added a Summit Racing +3 quart pan.I also have the Tru-Cool 40k cooler and EAD brackets to mount it.All in all cant believe more people don't do this.I love the way my trans feels now in the truck.Shifts are firm but not rattle your teeth out hard.As far as your tune, it depends on how you have Nelson build the tune but you should be all right. My truck is in my sig.

okay cool, what is that Sonnax 77701-076 kit supposed to do?

so i wont need to pull trans to put in the boost valve and clutch spring kit? correct? just want to get some infon on what i need to do before i buy the kit. if i get the kit should i take the corvette servo out then? or just see how i like it with the both of them together for a while?

You can do the Boost valve in the truck. If you wanna do the clutch spring kit the trans has to come out.If you buy the Transgo kit leave the servo in and drill the seperator plate to the smaller holes listed in the instructions. And if you can get the 1-2 3-4 pinless accumulators.
