Oregon Performance is where I got mine from. You might want to purchase the seperator plate also, cost $16.

Another vote for Oregon Performance Transmissions. I have dealt with them in the past and really like their service.

Cool

That is where I got mine from along with the separator plate. Very good service and prices. He will combine items for shipping cost if you ask. The HD2 they sell does not come with the video and the instructions assume you have some basic trans/mechanical skills. I have not put mine in yet so I cannot tell you how the install will go but it does not sound too difficult and other posters have said it is not too bad a job. In Separator Plate step 6 I read that we should use the Firm = .096 setting. Let us know how you make out with it.

This might sound dumb but what does the separator plate do.

It goes between the valve body and the transmission. I have been told that the stock ones are a softer metal and that they wear and the ***** can actually get stuck in them. There are 7 checkballs that go between the separator plate and the transmission body according to my Transgo HD2 kit. The plate seems to control the flow of fluid between the valve body and the transmission. It is a complicated looking piece with a lot of passages in it. I am no transmission expert so I hope I am not leading you astray. It is worth replacing because of the wear issues and potential of the checkballs to stick in their holes.
