Default TransGo .500" Boost Valve

I just got around to putting a Vette servo in my transmission. While doing searches on the web I noticed it is recommended to change the Boost valve in the pump on the 4L60E. My question is, would the TransGo 4L60E-BOOST at .500" be to much, if I am able to dial back the line pressures with my Predator v2.12 U7198. I'm on a tight budget and can't find the .472" valve for similar prices.

What is it that you are trying to accomplish? Is the tranny out and you're building it or is this an in-frame upgrade to an otherwise happy transmission?

Transmission is in truck with 67K miles and seems to be in good condition. I filter changed and flushed with RP Max ATF @ 35K miles. Just want to do some PM to prevent any problems. I've had the Predator program in since 01' or about 7k miles, so line pressures have been a little above stock most of it's life.

Personally I'm not a big fan of hand held programmers but that's just me. I don't see an issue with you using the TG kit you linked. I personally have been using the sonnax kits in my builds and I feel it is a better valve. Sonnax now sells a booster kit that includes a pressure regulator spring and the boost valve and sleeve. I don't think that they are that much money but they probably cost more than the TG valve you have listed.
