Everyone keeps talking about a video with thier kit - I didn't get one with mine. Then again, I also received two .093" drill bits instead of a .093" and a .082".

Does the video come with the kit only if you order from certain vendors? I heard the video is mainly for reference (basically an exposure for installing kits). I helped a friend of mine put a shift kit in his 'vette about 12 years ago - so I was already familiar with what had to be done. I was just not familiar with removing the 2-4 servo or dealing with pinless accumulators (which are also some things I'm doing). I''m also having a bung welded to the pan for my temp sensor.

The kit itself is pretty easy to follow, just familiarize yourself with the instructions before hand and get all the questions out of the way, before you start. It helped me to cross reference stuff with a service manual (if you have one). Plan to get tranmission fluid on you and everything else and block of a day to do it - if you like to take your time.

The kit that comes with the video is one that is available to the general public. The other kit was exclusively available to professional shops and therefor a video wasn't needed.

Its a fairly simple install. However, if you start using Sonnax parts, different servo's, etc...it becomes somewhat more involved.

I am interested in the kit my self. I just got the truck back. I lost 2-3 gear bands. I guess I make to much HP and the Tourque managment in the computer lets the tranny slip at WOT...........gota fix that at $1200 a tranny........good thing GM paid the bill..........
