I got it all back together with no "extra" parts laying on the work bench, Im very thankful to you guys for doing the write-up, without it I believe some tool throwing would have been involved

Here is a little info about the extra speed sensor that the 4l80e requires....

99-02 PCM's (Red and Blue pin locks)
The wires go in pin locations 22 and 23 (Red Lock)
Pin 22 is the Red & Black wire (high speed)
Pin 23 is the Blue &white wire (Low speed)

03 and up (Blue and Green pin locks)
The wires go in pin locations 22 and 23 (Green Lock)
Pin 22 is the Red & Black wire (high speed)
Pin 23 is the Blue &white wire (Low speed)

I am getting ready to to do an Input shaft swap... Did any of you who have done this bother to do something like a Rebuild Kit while you had the t-case apart? OR did you reuse the seals and such when you put it back together?

I have 50,000+ miles on my truck, the t-case has not seen a lot of use in 4x4...

There isnt any seal to replace other then the one you have to tear out to get the snap ring on the input side. Just use a little silicon sealant on the two halves when you put it back together. You can change the output seal if you feel like it. My t-case had 180K on it and everything looked new and it has seen ALOT of abuse. Get a GOOD set of snap ring pliers like craftsman or something it will make life alot easier.

Well, everything was going great... I had the case apart in under 20 minutes and then, the **** hit the fan... The Seal on the Input shaft will NOT come out, wound up tearing a bunch of the rubber up and it still will not budge.

Now I have to take it to my trans shop and see if they will be nice enough to remove the god damn thing, ordered a new one from Napa and that will be here Tuesday... What a waste of a day, didn't get a damn thing on this project...
