Theres studs in the t case so Im sure its made for more than one use but I'll see what factory torque spec is and try that the next go around with some more blue loctite.

May want to consider having your current adapter machined to make sure its flat. May be a little cheaper than a new one if you have access to a mill. Thats what I plan on doing with my leaky one.
I dont take offense at much of anything.

A friend of mine has an adapter that he bought from the dealer and never used so I'll probably snag that from him and put it on.

Since you and thunder dont have problems Im gunna go ahead and assume its not a 4wd launch issue.

I've never had a problem with leaks and I used the GM gaskets as well, however a lot of shops just use RTV in this area. I couldn't bring myself to do it, as I figured the General wouldn't have put a gasket there if they didn't think it needed one.

I have the same trouble as you and I do my fair share of 4lo launches. I've had mine apart 3 times this summer and its starting to seep agian. I also stopped getting the factory gasket and just started putting a fat bead of rtv blue on it.

According to GM VIS my 99 had the transfer case replaced under extended warranty and it clearly has a big fat bead of RTV sealing it. The RTV is sealing fine but the front output seal leaks like a siv and at a glance makes it look like the case halves leaking.
