Default trans vs mileage vs mods

alright so im posting this thread to ask everyone what mods they have on their truck, which transmission they currently have, if it was built or replaced due to a blown one, which mods were installed when the tranny went out, and what mods do you have now??? and whats the miles on the truck/current and blown trans

stock 4l60e
all mods in sig
never blown

first tranny- bone stock- lost front pump and burned up EVERYTHING @ 52K miles
second tranny- warranty replacement (also stock) fried clutch packs @ 85K miles
third tranny(curent)- locally built 4L65E, HD2,servos, Hardened gears, kevlar bands upgraded clutches etc etc... 91K on it and still going strong...

so you have 91k on your new trans and 91k total? im just trying to expect when my trans should go out vs the mods that i have, im beginning to think im much over due

no... I guess theres ~6k on the new one... about 91K on the truck.

-you dont have a shift kit in there? that will increase the life considerably.

6000 miles on truck all stock
installed radix along with hd2 kit,servos,zinc plate...everything in the valve body
6600 miles....installed meth kit, xer cam,918 springs,3.1 pulley...dyno tune at 410 hp and 437 tq.
twisted driveshaft in to...
7000 miles...installed new true trac
17,500 miles...broke input shaft in tranny
rebuilt with 65e parts only...bigger bands,beast shell,5 planetary....no hard shafts...restalled stock verter...stalls at around 2500-2700 rpms...
19100 miles broke output shaft...took out all the other stuff and broke the case...
19300 miles now....300 miles on new harden output shaft and all new 65e guts...ordered a new cryoed input shaft and drum from flt...when it comes in we are gonna install it....thats all for now....

stock 4l60 trans lasted two days after turbo install (65,000) before it started slipping.
Replaced with Speed Engineering 4l80e and conversion kit. Never looked back. around 80,000 mile on truck now.

Full bolt ons all in sig...tranny stock broke the input shaft at 39,832miles.Had it fully built for 700hp and added a Yank2600 stall as well.I am now at 43,335miles.

I thought that the shift kit helped with the life expectancy

first tranny stock, ran nitrous 100 shot from 60,000 miles to 75,000, never blew. Swapped out for a built 65e, blew at 5,000 miles and again at 3,000 miles 3 weeks after the lq9 swap in sig. I am now waiting on my FLT 65E to get here.
