i have been waiting on buying the shift kit because i know i need to get my line pressure back to stock before i stick it in there or stuff might start to break. it seems like my trans is lasting too long...if possible. every day i get more and more worried that its going to die and i am frequently not around my home. i have only had the mods in my sig for the longer of about 12000 miles. it towed our travel trailer about 5 times a year, 33footer, until dad gave me the truck when i got myh license so he could get a new one. maybe i should just start saviing and planning on the explosion

My stock unit would have probly been fine....but my builder said he was thinking i had a defective part from the factory.Manily because the input shafts almost never break and i broke it with under 300hp to the wheels...that just usally doesn't happen.
My only point to this is that i ahd the shift kit with one shim in and my line pressure upped for over 20k miles and no problems...i didn't blow it until i put a TB stall in it...I guess that was the last thing the bad part could handle.

so when should i plan on having to have the trans replaced considering all the mods, uppe line pressure? i will also be installing a new cam, much more aggressive than my LS6. and the shift kit once i get line pressures reduced because i have read the wreck havoc on the 60e's

Really depends on your power your making and how often/hard you drive it.
I had almost 300 to the wheels when mine went but it was from bad a oem part.
When we took the trans apart my gears and such were in perfect shape. No burning nothing so if your not terrible on it...it should last a decent bit.If not i did PM you with my tranny guys number...
