Default trans took a dump need help.

ok so the truck starts out in first no problem then it revs real high skips 2nd gear then goes straight to third... so i have lost 2nd gear... also if you punch it in 4th gear it hits the rev limit at 6800.... so i only have about 2300 in the truck bank account right now , and i dont want to get into my reg checking account... what should i do? 2300$ isnt much to work with... my tranny is all stock.... also i had a deal on an 80e slightly used but it was sold before i could get my hands on it...

Well, looking at the specs in your sig, I'd say it's time to talk to the trans sponsors here on PT.

youve got more than enough to put a solid 4L80E in it probably a nice converter too...

Sounds like you broke the 2.4 band. The 4l80e would certainly be a good choice but no to sure you can get it in there and working for less than $2300 with a good converter, wiring, programming, shift kit and all.

Ill have about 13-1400 in my 80E swap.... Crossmember, tuning, stall converter, trans, shift kit, driveshaft and all.... You should consider tackling it yourself. Someones going to charge out the nose to do an 80E conversion simply because they'd consider it "custom" work...

your prob equiped with a 4l65E . . the difference is the pump/ BAnd . . you need red/blue clutches/ 5pinion planetary/ beast sunshell/ shift kit+ both billet servos / hardened imput+ output shaft's / alto wide band / + other good stuft i dont know off my top of my head. Make sure you get a tru-cool 40K tranny cooler , while yout at it * . . ask your local tranny guy, for all the good stuft for ur tranny.
