If you have ever done anything right to save yourself headaches, time, money, and frustration, do the swap to the 4l80e now. Last year I had my truck about 6 weeks out of the year because the 60's are way to week with these horsepower levels and weight. I did all the work myself. It is not challenging or difficult work, just time consuming. But you will save more time doing it once than doing it once every 6 weeks. BTW your local builder more than likely will not warranty your tranny because of your mods.

I went threw five of the strongest ones made last year by two different manufactuers. do a search and you will find that it is the worst gm engineering decision made. If your tranny builder gave you a horsepower rating on it I would beware. There are more factors that determine if a transmission can hold than just a horsepower rating.
