Trans Dying after 1/8 mile with no fluid?...

if its making a grinding noise, then more then likely you have fried the rear planet.

Good idea for rebuild then?

If your up for it, Ill have you build it. Let me know a price on a normal rebuild + shift kit and one for decently built trans+shift kit+verter install(Imma look for one around 2500ish stall)

I am afraid its not good. I have see the forward clutch completely fried after only a single try moving a car with low line or fluid.
