My 80e x-member is so overbuilt and heavy it's not even funny. It was done by GMracer.
I was told by someone this design should be boxed, just under the trans mount.
GMCtrk, pics?

That whole measuring before pullin tranny is a pretty wise idea.
My biggest concern was only if current trans is ailing, I'd think 80E. It'd be a concern only if I went moly. Since $ is tight, I may need to put this off a week or it could be longer. It's also my DD, so I can't have it down for too long.
X-member will be reworked & some other chassis work, & ideas I've got.

Pics will show up here. Depends on how crazy I wanna get. If I go thru w/. what I thinkin, I may take headers off since it'll be easier w/. stuff off & get em re powdercoated. If I do that, I might wait til spring so I can ride the bike while truck is done. I really wanted to do headers when it doesn't see winter use anymore. So, not sure on that. If I don't do headers, it'll be by yr. end I think.

Got any exhaust / header pics on what's goin on near there, cause it'd surely be custom I'd think?

Further under cab, exh. nearest trans mount X-member?
Whenever u get some snapped, can u throw em up here too please, love to see em, finished or not.
I've had some ideas swirlin in my head for a long time from builds I've seen over the years, now I wanna do some things.
I met up w/. a fab guy last wk. to work out some details.

Then, Fri. night I did a bunch of sketches of my own, which I'll take back to him & go from there.
The gears in my head are always turning.

I really like the Xmember for mufflers attachment.
