Nope transfer case is separate, and takes a different kind of fluid.

Did you add fluid to the t-case? If your truck has Auto 4wd you need to go to a dealer and get some Autotrac II transfer case fluid. The parts stores don't sell it.

The other thing is that you won't want to drive around much without the rear DS installed. the yoke on the rear DS seals the transfer case and keeps fluid from spilling out the back end. If you don't have the DS installed you will be leaking fluid. I've done it......still have a nice line out of my driveway and down the street from it

Most drive line shops want the measurement from the end of the splines to the back of the cups where the u-joint mounts, but check with the shop building your new drive shaft, they will have a specific way to measure it.

If you have a way to get your truck to the shop that would probably be easiest. Then they can take their own measurements and you don't have to worry about it. I got lucky and there was a driveline shop a couple miles from my house, just hooked up the tow strap and got someone to drag me down there.

As far as measurements go, I think it is different depending on the transfer case you have. I bought the custom drivelines from Speed Engineering, and they did not fit correctly, even though they were for a 4wd 4L80E combo. I had to have the rear one shortened and the front one lengthened.
