Default Tranny cooler....get this...weird???

K.....long story short..my truck was bought of original owner....his MOM sold the truck on him cause he owed her the money..she got pissed..and sold it to me...So I dont have any real info the truck when I got it...was slighty modifed. MY question is...

Went to go put my BM tranny cooler in..and the trucks already got one...but its looks like a 100% factory peice..the way the brackets are etc...I was under the impression this model truck didnt have them....truck is a 99 5.3 auto with a 3:73 G80....2wd.....here u can sorta see it in the pic...????? is that factory???

Yep that's the factory setup. If it had the towing package it would come with the trans cooler.

I had that stock cooler. My tranny temps were 200* all the time. I switched to a tru-cool 40K cooler and now I never see temps over 160*.

I was also told not to run them inline due to pressure drop. Ask Vince @ FLT about that to be sure.

being from ontario i'd just replace the stock one with your B&M cooler. that's what i did with mine. it doesnt get hot enough up here in the summer to need two coolers, even with a stall in my opinion.
