Default traction when dropping?

I am considering (real close) to puttin a 2/4 drop on my 00 rcsb 5.3l. Will this hurt or help my traction.

What about just gettin hangers and shackles? and cuttin the springs 2"? will this hurt my traction from a dead stop in the 1/4 mile? Lookin for the best way to grip but would also like the truck to sit a little lower....oh and Not lookin to spend over 500 since I found the full belltech 2/4 drop with EVERYTHING for 500...is that a good price for that?

I believe the best way to get traction in a lowered truck is to use leafs for the back and its way easier than removing those rivets to put the hangers on.
Hotchkis makes great leafs but they are like 300.00 they will give you the full four inch drop in the back, EASY INSTALL and if you want to keep the price low go ahead and put lowering springs in the front eibach has some good ones and then get you some lowering shocks and you should be set. this setup will probably cost more than 500.00 but it should be a setup in which your looking for. DONT CUT YOUR SPRINGS buy new ones trust me.

How much? whats it include springs LCA's Spindles? hangers and shackles? whos going to do the install. let me remind you that the hangers can be a pain to install just do a google search for eibach and it will pop up. How much HP do you have? Traction shouldnt be a huge issue unless you are pushing high HP do you have positive traction? if not theres your problem. I would still consider the leafs for the back. Lower contol arms for the front or spindles will give you a factory ride with good shocks. do a google search for hotchkis
as well.

nobody else has any other input?

What about traction bars or I see some people put a tahoe sway bar on the rear end...does thsi do anything for a 1/4 mile launch or is it just for turns?

Cool

Getting the rear down relative to the front may help a little with traction because you will get better weight transfer I would think. Sway bars will help with cornering stability but not much for traction. Removing the front sway bar links and the bar itself may help with traction by allowing more weight transfer to the rear. Carefull in the corners though. Maybe it is time for some sticky tires.

You Might Wanna Look At Some Caltracs. A Lot Of People On Here Run 'em. They Work Well. They Are Like 350 Or 400 Bucks, But Worth It.
