he obviously doesnt know what he's talking about. a 3500-up stall could be considered racing only but not a 3,000 stall. just search on here and see who's runnin a 3,000rpm+++ stall in a DD
note: i have heard that the tci converters have problems with the lockup clutch going out

I tow with it and this is in my DD truck.... I know some other guys that have 3200 and 3400 in their Daily Driver trucks......
So dont sweat what this guys is telling you..
Just be sure to get a large Trans Cooler.. and a Trans Temp gauge just for the heck of it.

I run a 3000 never gets to 200 deg. without trailer, and tow 6,000 lbs. sometimes. It will get warm in stop and go, but cools down after its moving again. Ive ran 100 mph towing for a ways and stayed below 200!
