Default tires with a 2/4

Ok, I did a search for this and found alot about the 285/50-20 tires with a 2/4, but not 275/55.. I am looking at dropping my truck 2/4, but just got some new tires, so I was wondering if I could run them with the drop for a while until I got some 275/45's??? Or should I just get them when I lower it and sell my current ones?

Obviously, you'd be better off with the 275/45 tires, but with the 285/50 I'd be real concerned with the offset of your wheels as well.

well, right now I have the 275/55, I know I would be better off with the 275/45, but I was just wondering if I could get by...

any particular reason why you bought 32" tires when you have a 2wd?

because the wheels and tires were on there when I bought the truck, and they fill up the fenderwells, so when I needed some I bought the same thing... Everyone asks me if its a 4 wheel drive, and when I tell them no, they always say " damn, it looks like one".

I'm pretty sure that large of a tire will scrub badly on a 2/4. 285/50 is the max I'd go with a 2/4.

i dont think they will work. i think they will be to tall for the front and will rub when you turn or hit a desent size bump. but they should work fine in the back. i have 275/45's all around on my truck with a 2/4 drop and have no problems with rubbing or clearence

A 285/50 will probably rub. My 275/45's rub occasionally.
