Default TCI shift kit now "No Reverse"

I obviously did something wrong. It was one of those days that I put everything in two or three times before I got it right. The instuctions that came with the kit werent exactly the same transmission. My truck is a 04 w/4l60E 2wd. The items mentioned in this linke are the only things I messed with. What of these valves could mess up the reverse? http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Inst...76001_inst.htm

for me figure 6 "1-2 accumulator" doesnt have a washer and has a piece that sticks out a bit kinda looks like a half moon but the inside comes to a point.

theres a bit of a hole in the 1-2 accumulator I think I put the retaining pin through it. Could that be the problem?

Are you talking about the accumulator piston housing or the accumulator valve and sleeve? By the way your link does not work for me. A no reverse condition is usually the plate on the back of the valve body is loose or the manual valve is not properly connected. I have never used that kit. If there is a way for you to post the directions I will take a look at them to see if anything else comes to mind. Vince

It can be installed upside down however it would give you a hard 1-2 shift not a no reverse condition.

If you look at the end of the sleeve, outer most part where the pin is installed, the sleeve has a "V" like structure. The V should be upside down when properly installed. Here is a picture of the sleeve facing in the correct direction.

I also did the servo. I messed up at first and forgot the last plate but I put that in now.

I do remember putting the "V" the wrong way now that you say that. But that wouldnt cause a no reverse you say. And another thing does the pin go through the hole?
