Default TC stall question

Hey guys I am looking at installing a TT2600 or TT3000 in to my tahoe, the reason for the lower stall is that I do tow quite often with it. I tried to search and figure this out, but just got kinda confused. I have 4.10 gears and have read that I may want the 3k due to the higher rpms at speed with those gears, also I do have the factory aux. trans cooler and am wondering if it is enough for those stalls or do I need to step up to a TruCool 40k. I do plan on eventually adding the TruCool, but if I can get away without it for a while that would be better. Thanks--Dan

Adding the converter with the factory cooler will probably work for day to day driving. Start towing and I think you will need the bigger cooler.

You have 4.10 gears, so go for the 3K stall. I recently added Circle D's 278mm 3000-3200 converter to my Tahoe and am glad I did not go smaller. I can brake stall up to >3K RPM with it.

I added a cooler, but I'm in the Sun Belt, and you're in CT. Try it without for a while with your stock cooler and keep an eye on your transmission temperatures as summertime approaches. If your transmission starts pushing 200 degrees consistently, upgrade your cooler. In CT, get the Tru-Cool 40K p/n 4739 so it doesn't over-cool during the winter.
