hey guys at what mph are u guys locking at wot down the track ??? i am set at 90 mph right now....but i dont know if i should do it sooner or iam on...i was thinking maybe 86

 

do a search for ANY lock up thread and you will see you do NOT lock up in 3rd at WOT

 

so lock up at wot down the track is a bad idea.....i tought u ran faster !!

 

1- You are very unlikley to get any gains.
2-Make sure if you do lock that its only after the 2-3 shift and never durng a shift.
3-Unless its a multi disk converter I strongly suggest against locking at WOT period as they were not designed for that.

 

Mine locks at about 103-5 mph

 

I used to lock mine.....but learned that i was faster unlocked

There was a member who locked his converter in 2nd and 3rd and ran incredibly fast but I haven't heard from him in a while.

 

yeah i got a multidisk.....and i have seen people doing it locking it after 3 gear and running much faster times

 

I think my truck runs stronger after the verter locks

 

Stock tunes lock the TCC at WOT in 3rd gear at 75mph.

I'm a tenth quicker not locking at WOT, only because teh lock would come right after my 2-3 upshift.

Roll ons in 3rd gear locked feels quicker.
