Default TC lock up question?

I know I've asked this before but I will try again. Some times when I drive my truck the TC locks up just fine. It locks solid and doesn't slip. Other times when I drive it it will not lock at all. The times I drive it and it locks it always locks when it should. The times it won't lock it doesn't matter if I come to a stop or shift gears, the only thing that will get it to lock up is to shut it off and restart the truck. Sometimes it takes a few times and I hate throwing it in neutral and shutting it off on the highway. Any ideas?

Check for codes. In some cases a code will disable the TCC.

Any tuning done when you installed that converter?

Yeah I had it retuned when I installed the converter. I brought it up there again since but of course it was running good that day I couldn't get it to act up. Even with stopping and starting a few times. The check engine light hasn't come on at all but my tunner checked and there werent any stored codes.

What sizes is the converter? Did your tuner adjust the misfire tables?

It's a 10" converter and we adjusted the misfire tables so I'm not getting any.
