Default t56 swap, doesn't roll in neutral.

Im finishing up the t56/408 swap in my truck and was going to start the motor. I don't have the clutch bled yet since i've got no one around to give me a hand right now, so i wanted to be sure it wasn't in gear. I just stuck it in nuetral and tried to push it and it wouldn't move. I checked that no brakes are locked up so im sure its because of the tranny.

What do you guys think about this? Thanks.

why dont you get in and hold the brake and start it up and slowly let out on brake and that'd tell you if its in gear or not

Is the trans new, rebuild or what? Could it be bad and stuck in gear?

Its a t56, not much linkage to it. The trans is used and was bought from a reputable member of the board so i don't believe that it is bad, but i suppose something could have happenened in shipping

Was the driveshaft tight when installed? I've seen some yokes machined too big where it rides on the bushing in the tailhousing and caused this very problem. Otherwise improper reassembly of the tranny internally.
