I've had a 3.73, 4.30, & 5.13's with my f body t56.
Even with the gto trans, anything less than a 4.10-4.30 (depending on tire size) and you WILL NOT be happy.

i gotcha. i guess it would be wise to listen to the people that have been there done that lol. how is that ls7 clutch treating you? i may have ask already but i can't recall i've been reading and searching so much here lately.

The LS7 clutch was the best decision i've made in a long time and i've had a LOT of clutches over the years. The clutch drives like a stock one and had enough bite to break an axle.

oh good, thats what i wanted to hear. well besides the brake an axle part. so if you shifter was say 3" forward would it still be ok and fit well? minus the bose thing.

If it was 3" more forward it would be inside the storage compartments lol. But I don't see any reason you couldn't make a handle to work if that's what you are asking.

yeah i think i found a good setup but they said the shifter would be about 3" foward. they said they could make a plate or something to move it back if needed but it would cost more. so if its not needed then i wouldn't want to waste money to do it.
