Default Cal-Trac questions..

I have an 02 gmc reg. sportside with a 3/5 drop. 3 inch coils up front, and in the rear it has 2" shackles and 3" de-arched leafs.. it has cal-tracs but not on right now.. I bought it used as is and it came with 2 sets of the tubes that run from the spring mount to the axle. One set is for the stock height and the 2nd is custom made and shortened for the drop. I know of 2 other guys in my area with dropped trucks and they have the tubes that came with the kit. I was wondering what makes mine different?

do you have any pictures of these tubes?
maybe the person you bought them from used had another set of custom tubes made for his truck.

they are custom made for the truck, they are just an inch shorter. But i was wondering why the other guys are still running the same tubes and mine won't fit, i believe one of them has a 6 inch drop in the rear.

I also have a 3/5 drop and my caltracs had very little room to be adjusted so maybe they sent him another set after he installed the first and had no room for adjustment. I really had to tweak mine for tthem to fit. I told them I had a drop but I bet they sent me the set for a stock suspension because my spring eye bushings were also the wrong size.

oh ok just making sure i wasn't the only one, i thought maybe the de-arched leafs had something to do with it. I want to switch to stock leafs, mine are a bit too soft, it has a c-notch and it hits the frame when i floor it. ill settle for a 4" drop instead of the 5
