Default Suspension gurus inside!!!

Ok so I dont hardly know dick about suspension and how to properly lower but i think I may have it. Bare with me.

Ive been wanting to lower my truck to about a 4/6 drop. It is 2/4 now. I have 2" spindles in the front, so I would just add 2" coil springs to make a 4" drop correct? And then i plan on doin a 6" flip kit out back, I plan on notching as well...

So would this set up above get me a 4/6 drop?

And which kits are decent, i know Beltech, DJM and McGaughy's are all decent. But out of those 3 which is the best bang for the buck. I know Beltech is outrageous. The beltech coil springs are comparable in price to DJM and McGaughy's. But the DJM Flip kit looks like it is pretty high quality and was the cheapest price..

Sorry for the long write up..

Give me some ideas guys.

Here are some links i was checking out

man a flip kit is a flip kit, I'd go with the DJM b/c of the price and I personally know they build quality stuff. As far as up front, I'd just cut one coil off the factory springs. That should yield you 2" and only cost you the price of a cutting wheel for a 4"grinder. If you by springs, IMPO same thing applies as for the flip kit. Out of the 3 brands your looking at, the cheapest is the brand I would use. One thing you didn't mention is shocks, what do you have now and what are you looking at?

go with the mcgaughys flip and notch... djm notch isnt the strongest in the world... and for the front you could cut your springs to get the right amount of drop or just buy some... i know alot of ppl run the v6 springs for weight transfer if you did them and cut them...

Thanks guys.. sorry I forgot to add shocks.. I plan on running the nitro drop shocks..

And to me the Mcgaughys flip kit looked the cheapest but i could be wrong..

So if i just cut a coil off the fronts, Would it be any shittier ride then if i bought 2" coil springs??

Are you guys running 4/6 or 5/7 hard to tell in your sig pics??

i got a DJM kit a few months back and its a piece of ****. too much un-necessary crap and the notch leaves alot to be desired. im making my own flip kit for about 15 dollars and some welding and it will be more solid and built better than my 200 dollar djm crap. here.

flip your axle, set your pinion angle and weld these down to your axle. bam, you have a flip kit.

^^^ looks like a pretty good idea.. But I dont have access to welder, Nor do I have the ***** to weld on my truck myself .. Not much experience with welders yet.. All the notching and welding that needs to be done will be by someone else..Thanks tho Stew

I got a question... so instead of c-notches you would just replace them using leaf spring perches??

you will still need a notch. but on the axle side i plan to just weld on a new perch and bolt all of it down. you will also need some u-bolts and a plate to put on the bottom side of the spring pack.
