i R2'd the starter... hoped that would help but its still making a sorta clunking noise on start up and thats it...

what would loose TC bolts sound like?... is it possible that the TC would move and clunk on start up if they werent torqued correctly?

To me that bastard should not move at all, I am thinking that you are thinking that it is ok for it to wiggle just a bit, becuase before we bolted it up to the flexplate the TC did move around just it sitting there in the tranny. But once it is bolted to the flexplate that bastard should not move at all!! Think about it flexplate is bolted to the crank and does not move then you bolt up your torque converter to something that does not move.

Am i understanding your question right?

The correct torque for my truck was until the **** bolt would not turn anymore. I dont know I will try to find out for you. The reason why i did not torque them to specs was cause me and my buddy could not get a ratchet in there. So we just bolted them tight as hell with a wrench.

Did you check your clearances between the exhaust and the frame crossmembers? My pipe was rattling against the cross member for the torsion bars. Did I completely misunderstand your question?
