Default Stall Question?

I read on hear some where that a stall will help you make torque. Just wondering how? What size stall would be good for either a 216/220 or a 212/218 cam, that I'm eventually going to do. What would you do first, cam or stall? Thanks

Its good to do them both at the same time... but if i had to choose probably do the cam first so you know basically where it makes the most power and than get a stall that is high enough to launch you at a good spot in your powerband..

as far as it helping you make torque... maybe it'll help you start off at a higher rpm, thus you'll launch at a better rpm where u make more torque... or it'll flash between shifts at a place where you make more torque.. but i do not beleive it actually MAKES more torque for you.

I got the TB (2500)stall with my 212/218, and it works great!! I have seen people run the 216/220 also with a 2500 stall and it works perfect too...

Is that a Vinci cam? Which LSA are you going with? I have their 062 which is the same specs you posted on a 112 LSA. I've been driving it on a stock converter since June and it is just fine by me.

you should be ok but the get up and go aint going to be there... I was the same like you, I ran the stock stall after I installed the 212/218, and was going to wait a few months before installing another converter, but after driving it for a week I said hell with it and I installed the TB stall,, it was a night and day difference for sure!
