Default SSS Drivetrain Strength???

I just picked up an AWD SSS, and I am trying to learn a bit about it.

What is different from my 02 z71 with autotrac? (other than the fact that its AWD)
Are the components stronger? What benefit is the fifth planetary gear in the 4l65 over just 4 gears in the 4l60?
Is the Tcase strong enough to take a beating, or is that on the same level with the G80 rear?

The SSS uses a viscous coupling in the T-case and thats why it i not disengagable, the power is split i think 60 rear 40 front depending on conditions. as for the 4l65e they are indeed stronger but not by much. No one has broken one of the T-Cases to my knowledge so you should be safe.

Also NEVER REMOVE THE FRONT DRIVESHAFT TO DO DYNO PULLS. IT WILL RUIN YOUR T-CASE. people say it wont but Bullshit, DONT DO It

as for info go visit www.silveradoss.com

Tons of good info
