Default Testing G80

Whats the easiest way of testing a G80. 04 ccsb z71 @109k miles, seems to not lock up? Never been stuck and able to look at it, but like if im turning or coming out of a parking lot and punch it, there is only 1 tire mark, now once in a bue moon it wont spin(is this the G80 locking up)? Secondly any instructions on how to add/change the fluid?

I'm not really sure about how it works but..

I'm pretty sure if the G80 locks up... you would know it..

as mentioned severeal times you can do you G80 a favor but not swinigng the rear of the truck out.. things like that are what make the Gernade 80 go off..

Mine is starting to burn 1 tire more also, mostly on dry pavement. if it's wet they both go together. I have been wondering the same thing. maybe it's wearing out.

when mine popped the third time i was sideways down a we road and hit a dry patch, i will try to find a pic but it wasn't good. the first two went out quietly whereas the 3 went with one hell of a bang and took the WHOLE rear with it. i told the dealer it happened while taking a sharp corner and applying light throttle and they bought it. even though the tires were bald

The G80 seems to only really work in a straight line. I used to try to get the back end to swing out and always ended up with the inside tire roasting away while the outer one didn't even squeal. I wouldn't expect much out of the factory POS. If you really want to be able to swing the back end around get an aftermarket unit. I have a TrueTrac in my truck now and it's a night and day difference.

If u really want to see if its working get one tire in the dirt and one on the road. go about 25 then punch it. if you hear squealing, you know its working. If you hear grinding... well you know.....

just do a burnout. if both wheels spin, then it should be working.

I try to make sure I am pointing straight before I puch it. Now what it does after that is a completely different story. But, like others said, power break to spin the tires.

Put a little water down under both tires to aid the spin. Just do run it out or do. Oh yeah, an '04 with 109k, holy **** that some miles there.
