Default Spool Install questions

I am looking to install a spool in my 02 drag truck and could use a little info. First off yes it is a drag only truck at this time. My powertrax broke and I need to get it fixed asap. What is involved in installing the spool with c clip axles? I just replaced my bearings when I swaped gears a month or so ago, will I need to replace them again installing a spool? How does a spool work with c clip axles?

what about a full detroit locker? that will at least allow you to turn some as opposed to the spool.

They do make c clip eliminators but I am not sure you need them with a spool that is what I am trying to find out. I also do not want a detriot, I want a spool because this is a drag only truck turns are of no concern to me. I took it off the street 3 years ago. The spool will be lighter so that is the main reason for wanting the spool.

You could always find an open carrier and install a mini spool and use factory c-clips. I ran a mini spool for a long time in my old truck and never had an issue.
