Tought all I needed was two new carrier bearings (LM-603049) and two new carrier races (LM-603012) and a new gasket... and the fluid. LINK My mechanic will provide shims if they are needed for proper backlash.

If not, can someone provide me with a link to a complete installation kit for our trucks? Thanks

Sounds like your installer has the hook up. The kit comes in handy for the 1st time you do this at home.

Nop. Im just gonna upgrade to a posi and steeper gears for a quicker 60' (truck does constant 2.4sec 60's )
I got them from a local rearend shop called Allen's Gearworks. They are just north of where I live in Florida. I did a search and I can't seem to find any gears manufactured by U.S. Gear for your rear, but strange makes good gear sets a friend of mine recommends. Thunder Racing sells gears for your rear from strange!

Your gonna need front and rear pinion bearings as well, along with a new pinion nut, crush sleeve and the carrier bearings mentioned above. I would give Randys' Ring and Pinion a call and order one of their BK kits. I ordered one last week and it comes with all your bearings(TIMKEN carrier & pinion) as well as gear paint, a new crush sleeve, pinion nut, and pinion seal all for $75.
