be sure you remove your rear bumpstop brackets and mount your stops to the frame, and I also use the Street Performance shocks

Yeah, the nitros aren't nearly as nice as the streets, even the nitro-actives don't compare.

Mine are Nitro drops. like if you put a 300 pound man jumping on my bumper the wheels could probably come off the ground on the rebound. They're terrible

I only replaced rears w/. Belltech Street Perf. not fronts, yet. It could be the mismatch, but I liked my QA1s more. How do ya now when you're hittin bumpstops? Maybe that's my problem. Cause this is exactly what I have goin on, under big bumps/ dips. Altho I dropped mine another way (see sig). Still, 4" in rear is beatin me up.

02BlueStepside, if shocks alone will not necessarily stop it from bottoming out, u said it may need to be notched if you are bottoming out a lot. Any other ideas? I too don't see a notch as needed.

Never even thought of removing brkts. I might even try those shorter Belltech urethane stops trever spoke of. I had 425# of shingles on a pallet just behind axle, & it rode nice over the nasties today. I like how she it handles, but considered goin back to stock height.
I even considered airbags in rear to smooth it but I want it to still handle.

my street and performance shocks are great, i have about a 3/4 from 2wd height and havent bottomed out but once. they ride very firm and controlled for me, no bouncing or excessive sway at all, a night and day difference over my stock shocks.

mine are for sale tomorrow, but i need to find out how much a new set is going to cost me first. just got my new flip kit on and these arent going to work anymore. hopefully rancho makes a shock for my 6" drop.
