Default shimming converters

Has anyone had to shim an aftermarket converter to make it fit right???

I am putting a 9.5" PI 3200 behind a 2000 5.3 and its going in a FLT-5 65E.... I had some problems getting it in the stock tranny, I hope this one isnt the same deal.

one more PI question... I have it out of the truck now and when you shake the converter side to side, the gear down in there moves around... how much should it move?? I just want everything to go back together smoothly. once its in, I dont want to have to take it back apart... the converter only has a couple hundred miles on it since it was freshened up and restalled.

Don't know how much it should move but it will rattle around. Normal I would call it.

Ben, when I saw it, filled it, and put it in your truck it was normal... unless something happened between the install and you pulling it out it's ok.

BTW, call me back fokker...
