Default Shifts TOO hard?

All I have is a vette servo and my tuner turned up the line pressure in the tune, but I chirp the 1-2 shift at WOT. Is this hard on a G80 rear end? Im coming out of first gear at about 45 MPH when it does it....(I think I read something about the G80 doesnt lock at above 25 MPH or something???) Im just wondering if its hard on the G80 unit or if I should be fine?

I would suggest getting the tuner to turn down the pressure a lil.. chirping might sound cool, but its pretty hard on parts.
Id get it down to where it shifts into gear nice and firm but not chirping the tires.

How much TM do you have in the tune? From my experience adding in a little more TM will help with the chirping tires at WOT...

It had 50% removed with tow haul off and 100% removed with it on. It does it either way....... Its just a vette servo though, I think line pressure is just too high.

I would just have your tuner put the line pressure settings closer to stock. I have tuned a few trucks that just had the servos alone and they shifted nice and firm but not too hard. Just my opinion though, some people prefer harder shifts.

You get them shifting too hard all the time you start breaking and wearing stuff out faster, I know from personal experience on this

BlackGMC is absolutely correct also about torque management playing a big roll in how hard it shifts too.
