Default Shift kit, torque converter.

Hey guys! I'm a new kid on the block. I was wondering if you all knowing members could answer some questions I have. I'm looking to upgrade the cam in my 5.3 which is also my DD, and what TC I should pair it with.
I was also wondering if you could recommend any shift kits. I was considering the Trans-Go HD2 or the Trans-Go HD3 kit. I kinda wish my truck was a manual which is why I was considering the HD3 kit with some sort of floor shifter. Thanks fellas!

Talk to Chris at Circle D for a converter. I have his 278mm 2600-2800 in my pretty much stock truck and love it.

What gears do you have? Or plan on running. And what kinda goals do you have in mind?
A simple 218-220ish cam with a 3000 stall and 3.73s would be a decent lil setup for DD. And add headers in there at some point to top it off.

I was thinking of running either 3.73s or 4.10s although i was concerned 4.10s would kill my mpg too much since i do a lot of driving on the highway. I was planning on getting some kooks longtubes and y-pipe after school was done sucking all my money. I was hoping for around 450whp at some point down the road.
