Default Several questions for 4l80e with Transgo Hd2

1. Transgo seperator plate looks to have 3 or 4 metal plates. Much thicker than stock is this correct?

2. Accumulator cover torque spec.

3. Valve body torque spec.

4. How do you know which gasket goes on which side of separator plate?

5. Covered transmission with garbage bag just for over night so no bugs and dirt find a spot to chill, will transmission fluid melt bag and cause me problems?

6. Valve body has little signs on mushroom by one of the check ***** is this normal?

1. It might be thicker but it works.

2. 6-10 ft-lbs.

3. 6-10 ft-lbs.

4. Gaskets should have letters stenciled in. Maybe a V for valve body and a T for transmission. I forget.

5. Tranny fluid will not melt plastic bags.

6. Are you saying the hole has been battered around the edge? I wouldn't worry too much about it.

4. The larger gasket goes on the VB side, the smaller gasket (without the accumulator housing part) goes on the Plate side.

6. Normal. Just make sure the checkball isn't about beat thru the plate. A little mushrooming is normal.
