Who makes good servos for 4l60e & 4l65e trans, I have a 2003 gmc sierra 5.3 4x4 and am looking for firmer shifting in all gears and want to extend the life of the trans. any ideas

 

transgo hd-2 shift kit and the GM corvette intermediate servo should do the trick

 

what do you think of these billet servo's, do i still need the trans go kit?

thats way too much for a servo. just go with a gm corvette servo. they are about 15.00

 

I hope you dont mind if i butt in, but is the servo with the "longer pin" really needed? Anyone?

 

No, I use the stock pin.

 

So a longer pin isnt needed? I bought one with pin.

 

I used the longer pin in mine along with 1 shim from the trango shift kit in the servo to get the band in tolerance for what trans go said it should be. So far, I've got about 10-12000 miles and 8 months on it and its still holding strong.
