Can't argue with that. I assumed he wanted to stay with the 60e style trans given the money and effort invested. If that were my mindset I'd run the 75e.

How hard is it to swap input and output shafts? For the price of the trans is worth buying and replacing with performance parts?

If you spent months Reading reviews and agonizing over which transmission builder to buy from Then you will agree there is a quality control issue with aftermarket transmissions. Will you be the guy who got a great transmission or the guy who has had to send it back 5 times and now being ignored by the builder. They have all done it.

Would be nice, if true! The price really isn't bad for a brand new, what should be high quality, transmission...straight from GM.

Hell it actually gives me some hope towards my idea of supercharging the SS - I didn't want to go through a 4L80E swap, particularly from the stuff I've seen about problems that can come up with the tune in relation to the trans swap. Would be nice to tune just for the supercharger and know that the trans isn't going to be complicating the issue.

Chevrolet Performance Brings the Beef With the new 4L75-E Transmission! #TENSEMA16 - Hot Rod Network

It's rated to 650 LB ft of torque So it's not a bad option for that. But tuning is also very important as well.

Features:
Features 5-pinion gear sets, heat-treated stator shaft splines, induction-hardened turbine shaft, 8-friction plate 3-4 clutch, and specific valve-body calibration
Unique, high-strength input housing
Higher-capacity servo
More robust 3-4 clutch
Larger 2-4 band
Based on the 4L65-E/4L70-E
Gear ratios: 1st: 3.06, 2nd: 1.62, 3rd: 1.00, 4th: 0.70

It has induction hardened shafts in it.

Once you crack it open, you void the warranty.

You bring up very good points about builders, I am very fortunate to have a good friend that’s a trans builder. He built mine as well as a bunch of my buddies, including numerous people on this site.

No Another reason why my latest build I grabbed an 85e... Even with a 75e, I'd still have to strip it down to the case just to swap tail shafts for 4wd.
