I agree. Ive made the statement that I would do it. I believe its possible the truck can roast all four. I have spare tires in the garage. Doing it in the snow/ice would be lame. Rolling smoke and rubber would be much more satisfying though multiple times more stress on my truck.

I just replaced both front cv shafts. Im looking for extra wheels to mount up these tires.

Update. The truck has been rocking for a while but was stuck in a body shop for 4 months. ARG. Once I got it back from the body shop I went racing. Busted out a 11.7 with a 1.7 60' in 4x4. Consistently running 7.5 in the 93 mph range. I noticed the trans temp getting warm on drives to work and around with the family, then the converter surging in and out of lockup. some days it was fine, some it surged, some it wouldn't lock. I have my tuner plug in and verify it was not electronic and the lockup was being engaged 100%.

A bit worried, I talked to Robert about it. He said i probably smoked the converter. It was a mild converter to begin with and im making way more power that we originally talked about. My tuner agreed. I ordered the PI vig 3000 multi disk. While waiting for it to come in, I started pulling the trans for a converter swap. I pulled the drain plug and it was COVERED in metal. Worse than ever before. I talked to Robert and sent him the unit for a total inspection and upgrade the 3/4 clutch set to the new th350 clutch unit.

Hes got the unit 9/20 and has been working on it.

Well this issue is most likely torque converter related, not the trans blowing up. So lets keep that in mind. Plus I'm under warranty.

Also, transbuilderguy told me has had a bunch of FTI units blow clutches out of them and he no longer supports them. Im guessing they were the lower grade units like mine ( $400 ) but still worth noting.
