Its definitely on the firm side, but not as bad as you think. I think the trucks really need it to combat body roll in the corners.
It also depends on the length of the spring and how much travel you have/want, like right now I'm running a 14"x 650# spring and the ride is similar to the 10"x900# I had before.
To recap: For the strong arm setup you use a 2.5" id 14"x650# spring and a 6.3 coilover? What is your current drop in the front? Great thread by the way needs to be a sticky......

Correct, I would estimate it at a 4" drop (w/spindles), had to lift it an inch from the previous set-up so I could park at work w/o dragging the frame

If you drag enough metal off the bottom, it will eventually clear
How is your current setup holding up? Do you have and pics of your current ride height?
I just installed my setup yesterday. Stock everything with the 5.1 coilover and 850 spring. I had a 3 inch drop before and that's all I'm trying to get to again. I had to adjust the spring collar down about half inch from the bottom and I'm still only about 2 1/2 drop so my alignment is off and just wanted lower. Will a lighter spring help like just an 800? How far was yours adjusted in order to get the 3 inches of drop
Was everything in your setup stock to get 3" of drop? I know you had spindles but everything else? The only part not stock is tubular up a arms but not sure that would effect the ride height otherwise I could go back to stock
