Think the 10" 900# would be good though?

It should be decent, I'm thinking the longer shock will be less "stiff" as the shorter one, but the added # over mine may work fine.

Coilovers will be here in the morning. What is the metal retainer for? You have the top and bottom cup, the retainer screw, the spring and coil over of course, then the round metal retainer. I couldn't figure out what it is used for.

EDIT:

Nevermind, I see where it goes. Between the top of the coil over and the top of the upper spring retainer.

I'd say it's damaged. It should stop, obviously. Try unscrewing the cap and retighten it.

Use a rubber mallet to hammer lca down maybe. Take pics

I got it all sorted out. The trick is to put the tie rod on before bolting up the UCA. The adjuster not stopping was my fault. Took the stud mount apart to mount it and didn't tighten down the adjuster correctly. Anyways, Ridetech was quick to help out by committing to sending out another coil over to get to me by Monday. Great customer service.

The install was not too bad. Driver side took about 4.5 hours. Passenger side took about 3.5. Both with me working alone. Most of the time (as usual) was spent looking for the right tool. I still need to go back and finish a few loose ends. Also need to raise the driver side up about an inch, and passenger side maybe .5 inch.

I have pics, but I plan on taking more after washing the truck then I will upload. I absolutely love the ride. It bottoms out hard, but I think raising it a bit will cure that. I also had it set on the firmest setting. I dialed it down 15 clicks from full hard on both sides. I think I want either an 850# or 900# spring, but I will wait until the back of the truck is done before I decide.

Now I just need to find a shop to do a 3-link in the rear. You would think there would be some good shops in North Carolina but I can't find any.

Raised it up an inch on both sides and it does not bottom out. Still think I would like a stiffer spring. Running a 10" 800# now. Got it aligned today as well.

That's awesome. Are your bushings noisy when going over bumps? Mine are, just wondering if that's the nature of these poly bushings.
