Default Replacement Shocks?

Guys, I think I overloaded the truck one too many times and I believe I'm due for new shocks all around, but with my wife out of a job right now I may just go for the rears. Truck is bouncing all over the place on bumps. It's either the shocks or my 08 20" wheels that weigh way too much. I'll probably put the summer wheels on and see if it gets better, but I'm not thinking it will because if I rock any corner of the truck it probably goes up and down 2-3 times.

Anyone have any suggestion on a decent riding (ie not any stiffer), affordable shock. Suspension work on my 2wd consists of the 2" drop shackle in the rear and hotchkis sways front and rear with 18x9.5 295/45 tires.

I've read Doestch and Street Performance might work well?

Thanks guys,
Andrew

belltech street and performance shocks ftw! the rear part number is 2212ff. they are stiffer, but in a good and controlled way. and you can find them for about 60~ a piece.

The Belltech Street Performance have been getting great reviews, I'd get a set for mine if I had the coin. My Bilsteins were great at the stock height, but now that I lowered the truck they're too compressed to rebound properly.

You guys with 2" drop shackles, anyone get the 2214FF shocks? Those are designed for 0-2" drop while the 2212FF are designed for 2-4" drop. I'm just wondering if the 2214FF will ride a little softer.

they are the same shock as far as stiffness just different lengths, you have already got the 2 inch drop shackle i would just go with the 2212ff's they fall in that range and if you ever want to go lower you dont have to buy new shocks again.
