Rear Diff Support Cover Question
#1
Was talking to a friend the other day about making improvements to the rear diff on my truck. He was saying the best thing I could do was to install one of those Aluminum support covers that supports the bearing caps of the carrier. So this is my question, please chime in if you have experience of these covers. Will this type of cover help keep the factory G80 alive, or would it be best to replace the carrier with an Eaton or Detroit Locker? Thanks for your imput.

T/A is a killer piece. I just got an ARP 12-point stainless bolt kit for a 10 bolt GM rear end to use with my T/A.

Eaton limited slip differential can get it from any number of places
T/A diff cover from thunder racing on the same page you can get the stud kit jsut selsect it
The 437-3001 are the bolts that you need to put the t/a diff cover on to bolt to the actual housing since the bolts that come with the cover are the wrong thread pitch and count ARP is the company that produces the bolts
Any ?s

I ordered mine from boltdepot.com (some people have found theirs at Home Depot or Lowes) - 8mm X 1.25 thread and 40mm long (although 35mm long will do fine).

Got my bolts at Home Depot, but they're not stainless and look like poop now. Plan to upgrade eventually. I got my diff cover directly from TA...
