With power sure. But do you have a **** ton of power up front and drag radials out back?

This spring when the drag strip opens, I hope to have 4:10 gears installed with a Detroit Locker and cover support. Then would get a set of ET radials after I see how it does with just beefing up the rear end. Not sure if I would go full out slicks if the power is not there to turn them. Like to see how much each change makes on the ole time slip instead of making several at once. Now where did I put Santa's list?

Found the ARP equivelant part number for the 12 point stainless bolts. 771-1005, M8x1.25x40 packs of 5.

No prob man. ARP didnt have dick listed in the catalog. I had to browse the jobber book for the numbers. But they have some. I called ARP to verify availibility to kill some time. They had a bunch in stock.

Great info to have Jared, thanks for taking the time to look into this. Will be looking for these bolts when I get my new cover.

Why a 12 point version? Is a 6 point version available or are the 12 point versions preferred?

I want it for looks mostly. More torsional force can be exerted on a 12 point bolt and you can put a more even load on them. Now in the diffs case I dont think its as important as on heads or rod bolts.

761-1005 is what I see for SS hex bolts, in the pack of 5 again.

with all the different covers out there is there one that is better than the rest? Or is there one brand to avoid? Thanks for the bolt info Jared, great job again.

I dont think that there is alot of companies that make a girdled cover for our truck rear ends. I just got a TA Performance cover.
