Default Re-man trans from dealership

ok so if you didnt know i blew my trans last weekend... i have a couple options.. i can get a stock remanufactored trans from the dealership within a week and have my truck back on the road. i can get a performabuilt lvl1 pretty soon. or a performabuilt lvl 2 a little later.. i was going to get the lvl 2 but i hate waiting plus cash is a little low. would the stock one from the dealer hold up to 450hp if i put my 3200 stall. shift kit and servos daily driven?? or should i just get the lvl 1 or 2?

thanks

FWIW, almost every AC Delco reman we ever installed while working at the dealerships(14 years) failed. The Goodwrench program was much more successful, and are considered new, not reman. They also come with a better warranty. However, they never held up well behind trucks with just intake/exhaust/tune on them, I highly doubt you will be successful putting one behind 450hp, even with a stock stall.

For your second questions, buy the most expensive transmission that you can afford.

Dont wast your time on the re-man. Get the trans you need to hold up to the power you will be putting through it. Even if money is tight its cheaper to get what you need because you end up paying for it in the end.

I don't know how much youll pay for each but think of it this way:

Buying re-man trans....
re-man trans $1000 it WILL break again and you pay $1600 for the lvl 1 or 2 anyways...cost of the right setup going this route....$1000 + $1600 = $2600

Buying lvl 1 or 2 trans first....
$1600 end of story.....your savings $1000

numbers are examples but you get my thought process.

if you had that 3200 torque converter installed when the tranny blew, make sure you have it cut open and cleaned before installing it with a new tranny...
