Default Questions about dropping my truck???

Ok, I know there's a million threads about dropping rcsb trucks, and I've read through alot of them. But I have a few questions that are a little more specific than most go into. My truck is an 05 GMC rcsb that has a Heads/Cam 6.0 in it, along with a 14Bolt rear end. The rear has 2" drop shackles and the overload leaf clamped. The front is completely stock. The truck has about 1/2-1" of rake. I have 20" wheels with 275/55R20 tires, but am replacing them with 285/50R20 soon. The rear bumper, hitch, spare and spare tire carrier have been removed for a roll pan. Obviously, this truck doesnt get very good traction. I'm looking to lower it and level it, all while improving traction on the street and track, if possible. Im only looking to lower the truck 2 more inches at most in the front, and probably about 3" in the rear. I dont want it to ride like a log wagon, but dont mind a stiffer than stock ride. I dont tow or dd with this truck. Mainly just a show and strip toy. The truck is pretty bouncy and soft in the front and kinda harsh in the rear right now. What components would you guys reccomend? My dad has some 2" drop coils in the shop, but they are unknown brand and idk if they'd be the right choice for what im looking for? But what should i do for the rear to lower and help traction? Thanks for all input!

The truck in my sig is ~4/6 on a torsion bar suspension. If I were you, I'd do springs up front. for the rear, check to see if you can replace the front leaf spring bracket. That'll give you another 2 inches, or you could change the rear springs for some lowered ones. As far as traction, you need to look into caltracs but they are $$$

EDIT: I forgot, those 285/50/20s are probably going to rub. overall height of them is just a tad taller than the 275/55s but the width is probably going to be the problem. They'll probably rub up front & you'll have to cut the lip on the rear wheelwells. All of this is, of course, if it's lowered.

So you think I should give the front coils my dad has a shot? And then a hanger or leaf in the back...what about shocks?

Also, ive installed 3-4sets of 2" drop shackles, so im pretty comfortable swapping shackles. But, ive never installed hangers. And from what I hear about the rivets and gas tank, hangers sound like a bear to install. Im thinking my best bet for the rear would be a flip kit and 2" lift shackles for a 4" drop. Plus, i could use the flip kit in conjuction with drop various lift/stock/drop shackle for anywhere from 4"-8" of rear drop. That way i can really "dial in" my setup and have room for future drop with little work. Plus, i think i can get the flip kit and shackles pretty cheap. So would my best option be 2" drop coils up front with a flip kit and lift shackles out back? Would a flip kit even work with my 14 bolt rear end?
