Default Question about shortening the driveshaft

Has anyone had to get their driveshaft shortened for a 2/4 or 3/6 drop? I haven't heard of anyone having to, but apparently my stepdad has

not for that amount of drop. Generally If the yoke doesn't have an inch exposed at ride height then yes it's too long.

I got mine shortened a 4/6 on my 4wd, all trucks are different most cases you wont need to but some incidents you do. Just get under there and check like Raffman said 1" exposed then you're good
