Default Question about my stocker tranny, and shift kit

I talked to a guy at Mr. Transmission the other month, and he told me I cant and should not install a shift kit of any kind into a trans with 100k+ miles. my trans has 109K miles, and it shifts fine, the fluid never gets above 180 and the only issue is i believe my TCC circuit is fubarred. i am unsure if its the lockup in the verter or the valve in my v-body. when im hittin on the gas, and get to like 60 mph then let go, it goes into lockup and when i go back into teh gas a little, i can tell its 'vibrating" and so on, I gotta get it scanned and see what my numbers are to see if the clutch is worn out or the valve is poopy...

on FSB.com, guys have installed the hd2 kit in the trans at 100K and they took the trans out at 272K when they put in a big block. and it still ran, with the small block, with spray, at drags too... so should you say i should put one in? i got the vette servo in, and well it isn't doing anything different. Would you recommend installing it? i just want something fun to do, maybe a tire squeek here or there hehe. by june first i plan on having my long tubes and exhaust done, and a small tune. i just wonder if i should install the kit. thanks for any help or advice guys.

Do not take your truck back to "Mr. Transmission". The butter soft shifts GM gives you are not ideal.

Put the kit in. Enjoy the crisper shifts.

Ive put 2 shift kits in 60E's with over 100, 000 miles. No probs.

Do the vette servo too while your under there.

well yeah, reason i went to Mr trans was because the shop is next door to me. i have done my research and the only company i would ever release my trans to would be FLT. but with these two replies thank you very much. i am going to order one, well depending on the bank account. and then really have fun. thank you guys for the replies. you have helped me once again spend the green. lol
